Welcome to the FAIRTRADE CORK Project..

.

On October 10th, 2005, Cork was officially designated a Fairtrade City by Fairtrade Mark Ireland. We share this honour with Kilkenny, Waterford and Kinsale, Co. Cork.

What now?

As part of the celebration of this event, and in order to increase awareness of Fairtrade, we are planning to publish a Fairtrade Cookbook.

Do you have a Fairtrade recipe (containing at least 1 Fairtrade ingredient) you would like to share? Check out Fairtrade ingredients & where to buy them >>

PLEASE SEND US YOUR RECIPE .... all contributions used in the published book will will be gratefully received and acknowledged.

“I encourage Cork people to support Fairtrade products when they shop. In so doing the producers of Fairtrade products in the Developing World are helped, encouraged and enabled to build a sustainable life for themselves, their families and communities.”
Most Rev. John Buckley, Bishop of Cork.

“By supporting Fairtrade products we can contribute to a better quality of life for small producers in developing countries.”
Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Sean Martin
